CHAPTER 5: THE PROPHECIES OF FATIMA

THERE HAVE BEEN RUMORS FROM TIME TO TIME THAT POPE JOHN PAUL II WILL REVEAL TO MANKIND THE SECRET MESSAGE OF THE PROPHECIES OF FATIMA. SPECULATION HAS IT THAT THE SECRET MESSAGE OF FATIMA WILL SPEED THE PROCESS OF REUNITING THE PROTESTANT AND ORTHODOX CHURCHES WITH THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. AS TO WHETHER THESE THINGS ARE TRUE, I HAVE NO INFORMATION, BUT IN THE INTEREST OF BEING INFORMED JUST IN CASE THEY ARE TRUE, I WILL GIVE A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE PROPHECIES OF FATIMA.

THE CITY OF FATIMA
Fatima (city) {fah'-tee-mah} Fatima (1970 pop., 6,443) is a village in central Portugal located 115 km (70 mi.) north of Lisbon. It is one of the world's foremost Roman Catholic pilgrimage centers. In 1917 the Virgin Mary reportedly appeared on several occasions to three children here. Authorized pilgrimages have taken place since 1927 by those seeking cures and offering prayers. A basilica was begun in 1928 and consecrated in 1953.

THE PROPHECIES OF FATIMA WERE REPORTEDLY GIVEN TO THREE CHILDREN IN THE YEAR 1917 NEAR THE CITY OF FATIMA, PORTUGAL. THE PROPHECIES WERE IN THREE PARTS. TWO PARTS HAVE BEEN MADE PUBLIC, THE THIRD PART HAS NOT.

THE MESSAGE FROM (MARY?) TO MODERN MAN.

PART 1.

Mary: I come from Heaven;

1. You have seen hell,

2. Where the souls of poor sinners go.

3. It is to save them. (The reason for the vision)

4. God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my immaculate heart.

5. If they do what I tell you many souls will be saved and there will be peace.

PART 2.

6. The war is going to end. (World War 1 ended in 1918)

7. But if they do not cease offending God,

8. In the reign of Pius XI, (At the time this was written Benedict XV was in the chair of St. Peter)

9. Another worse war will begin. (World War II)

10. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that it will be a great sign.

(This unknown light appeared on the night of January 25-26, 1938.
Scientists could not explain it. Sister Lucy said, "that is the great sign."

11. That God is going to punish the world for it's crimes by means of war, famine, persecution of the Church, and
the Holy Father.

12. To prevent it I will come and ask for the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart.

13. And for the Communion of Reparation on first Saturdays.

14. If my requests are granted,

15. Russia will be converted.

16. and there will be peace.

17. If not, Russia will spread,

18. Her errors throughout the world.

19. Provoking wars,

20. And the persecution of the Church.

21. The good will be martyred.

22. The Holy Father will have much to suffer.

23. Various nations will be annihilated.

24. In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph.

25. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me. (Russia Consecrated in 1984 by Pope John Paul II)

26. And she will be converted.

27. And the world will be granted a certain period of peace. (The Communist Russian Empire collapsed in 1991, The cold war ends.)

28. In Portugal the dogma of the faith will always be preserved.

29. When you pray the Rosary add after each mystery: O my Jesus, forgive us; save us from the fire of hell; raise up all helpless souls to Heaven, foremost those in the direst need. (At every apparition at Fatima, Our Lady said "pray the Rosary daily.)

PART 3.

30. The secret to the Pope follows. (Has not yet been revealed to the public In 1995)

THE SECRET TO THE POPE HAS NOT YET BEEN REVEALED. ONLY THE POPE HIMSELF KNOWS WHAT THE SECRET IS. WHEN IT IS REVEALED I EXPECT THAT IT WILL CONTAIN A MESSAGE THAT URGES ALL CHRISTIAN CHURCHES TO UNITE TO USHER IN THE RETURN OF CHRIST, PEACE ON EARTH, AND THE MILLENNIUM. I ALSO EXPECT THAT THERE WILL BE THE THREAT OF DIRE CONSEQUENCES IF THE UNITING OF THE CHURCHES IS NOT CARRIED OUT, SUCH AS WORLD WIDE CATASTROPHES, EARTHQUAKES, FAMINES AND PLAGUES. SOME OF THESE THINGS MAY ACTUALLY OCCUR BEFORE THE UNITING OF THE CHURCHES AND MOTIVATE THEM TO AGREE TO UNIFICATION. THIS IS SPECULATION ON MY PART.

THE PROPHECIES OF FATIMA ARE NOT PROPHECIES THAT ARE INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. THIS IS EASILY DISCERNED BY THE FACT THAT THE ADMONITION AT THE END OF THE MESSAGE IS NOT IN AGREEMENT WITH THE BIBLE. THE COMMAND TO PRAY THE ROSARY IS NOT A CHRISTIAN MESSAGE. PRAYING THE ROSARY IS A HINDU AND MOSLEM CUSTOM THAT WAS COPIED BY PETER THE HERMIT, A ROMAN CATHOLIC MONK, WHO INTRODUCED IT TO THE CHURCH IN 1090 A. D. THERE IS NO DOUBT THOUGH THAT THE THREE CHILDREN DID SEE AN APPARITION, AND THAT THE PREDICTIONS THEY RECEIVED WERE NOT THE INVENTIONS OF THEIR OWN MINDS. THIS IS NO GREAT WONDER BECAUSE THE SCRIPTURES SAY THAT SATAN HIMSELF CAN APPEAR AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT.

2 Corinthians 11:13-14 NIV For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

THE PROPHECIES OF FATIMA ARE FOR THE MOST PART RE-WORDED COPIES OF BIBLICAL PROPHECIES THAT WERE GIVEN BY JESUS TO HIS DISCIPLES AND TO JOHN, TO WHOM THE BOOK OF REVELATION WAS REVEALED. JESUS HAD ALREADY SAID NEARLY TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO THAT THE GOSPEL WOULD BE PREACHED TO ALL NATIONS BEFORE HIS RETURN, AND THAT OF COURSE INCLUDES RUSSIA.

Matthew 24:14 NIV And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Mark 13:10 "And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations".

JESUS ALSO SAID THAT THE TIME JUST BEFORE HIS RETURN WOULD BE THE MOST HORRENDOUS TIME THAT THE EARTH AND MANKIND HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED, FROM THE CREATION OF MAN UNTIL NOW.

Matthew 24: 3 & 7-8 NIV "As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us,' they said, `when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?' Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." "For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened."

SATAN COPIES THE PROMISES OF GOD AND WITH THEM HE INCLUDES FALSE DOCTRINE TO DECEIVE THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF MEN. AT SOME FUTURE TIME A POPE OR A FALSE PROPHET MAY POINT TO THE PROPHECIES OF FATIMA TO PROVE TO THE WORLD THAT THE ANTICHRIST IS JESUS CHRIST RETURNED TO EARTH. IF THIS HAPPENS, DO NOT BE DECEIVED, THIS IS MERELY A PART OF THE STRONG DELUSION THAT IS TO COME UPON THE EARTH.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
