Chapter 30: The Vision Of George
Washington
The man who is known as the father of our country, George Washington, reportedly saw a vision that showed him three future wars that would be fought on our own soil. At the time of the vision, he was fighting the war for our independence from great Britain. According to the report, during the winter of 1777 at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Washington retired to his tent to think and pray and ordered that he not be disturbed under any circumstances. His army was ill fitted to survive that terrible winter. Their shoes needed resoling, what uniforms they had were like rags, and other supplies were running low. When he did have money to pay his troops, the currency he gave them was virtually worthless. Most businesses would not accept it, because it was not backed by the British treasury. Things looked bleak for the American Revolution. According to Anthony Sherman, an officer in Washington's army, Washington emerged from his tent several hours later, pale and shaken. Taking Sherman aside he told him that while he was seeking divine guidance an angel appeared to him and gave him a vision concerning three great perils that the nation would endure before finally achieving permanent peace. The first two portions of the vision pertain to the war of 1812 and to the civil war, both of which have already occurred. We will look at only the third part of the vision which pertains to a yet future war. World War Three
Then, for a third time the angel commanded Washington "Son of the Republic, look and learn," and then the angel raised a trumpet to its lips and blew three distinct blasts, after which it took water from the ocean and sprinkled it on Europe, Asia, and Africa. "Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene," Washington related. From each of the continents, there arose thick black clouds, that joined into one. And through the darkness there gleamed a dark red light, by which I saw hordes of armed men marching by land and sailing by sea to America. And I saw these vast armies devastate the entire nation, and burn the villages, towns, and cities that I had earlier beheld springing up. As I listened to the thunder of the cannon and the clash of swords, I heard the cries of millions in mortal combat. Again I heard the voice of the angel saying: "Son of the Republic look and learn!" Once more the angel brought the trumpet to its lips and blew a long and forceful blast. "Instantly, a light as of a thousand suns shown down from above me, and pierced and broke into fragments the cloud which enveloped America. At the same moment, an angel who bore our national flag in one hand and a sword in the other, descended from the heavens, attended by legions of other bright angels, who took the side of America, and joined them in the fight." Amid the fearful noise of battle, the supernatural voice again spoke: "Son of the Republic, look and learn!" And then the angel bearing the flag scooped water from the ocean and sprinkled it on America, and at once, the dark cloud rolled back, together with the armies it had brought, leaving the inhabitants of the land victorious. The scene fades, leaving Washington again gazing upon the first angel, who said, "Son of the Republic what you have seen is thus interpreted, three great perils will come upon the Republic The most fearful is the third; but, after it passes, the whole world united shall not prevail against America. Then the angel vanished, and Washington told Sherman, "I know that I have seen the birth, progress and destiny of the United States. The vision of George Washington appears to support the theory that someday the world united under the Antichrist will attack America. The armies who attack us with the glow of a dark red light could very well be those described in the book of Revelation as pertaining to Antichrist and the kings of the east. He will probably also command the United Nations armed forces, and we may someday find ourselves fighting against the blue helmets and white tanks of the multinational force that we (the United States) are helping to create today. The great angel who leads the armies of heaven to help America as we are on the verge of being defeated is probably Michael, who will stand up at the time of the end and defeat Satan and the Antichrist. The armies of the world will go back to the Mid-East after the first resurrection takes place, to fight with the Lord Jesus Christ at the time of his return one year later. The Vision Of The American Evangelist
It has been widely reported that in 1954 an American evangelist (a. A. Allen) had a vision in which he saw the results of a future war involving the United States and an enemy attacking us from the northwest. This enemy is probably Europe and the rest of the world united under Antichrist. In this vision, the west coast, the eastern seaboard, and some of the states in the gulf of Mexico area are devastated by a missile attack. This attack was not a nuclear attack, but some type of chemical or germ warfare weapon, possibly nerve gas, that killed the people in a manner similar to spraying insects with bug spray. The people in the affected areas choked, coughed, and died, within a few moments after inhaling the vapor fumes that were released after each missile struck it's target and exploded. The major cities that suffered direct hits during the attack are as follows; Seattle, Los Angeles, New York City, St. Louis, Kansas City, and New Orleans. In the vision, only the great lakes area, the midwest heartlands, and the sparsely populated areas of the northwest and the southwest were spared from destruction. Perhaps the invaders will try not to contaminate the water supply of the great lakes or destroy the food grown in the midwest, as both food and water will be in short supply during the tribulation period. On a brighter note, Mr. Allen saw the saints of God protected during this horrible disaster. And then to my ears came a sound of distant singing. There was joyful shouting and the sounds of happy laughter. Immediately I knew it was the rejoicing of the saints of God. I looked, and there, high in the heavens, above the smoke and poisonous gases, above the noise of battle, I saw a huge mountain. It seemed to be of solid rock, and I knew at once that this was the mountain of the Lord. The sounds of music and rejoicing were coming from a cleft, high up in the side of the rock mountain. It was the saints of God who were doing the rejoicing. It was God's own people who were singing and dancing and shouting with joy, safe from all the harm which had come upon the Earth, for they were hidden away in the cleft of the rock. Only time will prove whether the visions reported in this chapter were from God or merely the imaginations of men. |
