Will
Believers Go Through The Time of Great Tribulation?
There are many books and websites that deal with the end times scenario including my own at www.rjatropical.com. You may find out the order of the events of the end times there in the prophecy section or from some other source. Here at this time we are primarily going to deal with what has become known as "The Rapture Question." The rapture question is this: Will the church (all believers in Jesus Christ) be lifted off of the earth to the safety of Heaven seven years before the return of Jesus Christ? Will believers go through the time of the Great Tribulation? This subject is hotly debated among those who belong to bible believing churches who believe that the time of Jesus Christ's return is drawing very near. For the correct answer to this question we must search the scriptures and find the proper interpretation of end times prophecy, but the short answer is, NO, most believers WILL NOT go through the entire tribulation period, But some will. Three groups of people will go through it, two special groups of believers and all unbelievers. One group will be spared from it. To find out where you personally fit in, read on. What
is The Rapture?
What is the Rapture anyway? Everybody in Christian circles talks about it, but like the weather nobody seems to be able to agree on what exactly is going to happen. (1 Cor 15:51-54 NKJV) Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed; in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." (1 Th 4:14-18 NKJV) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. The verses above describe the time when both living and dead believers will meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the air and then dwell with him forever in Heaven. This is called by many people "the Rapture." The actual biblical term for this event is "The First Resurrection." The "First Resurrection occurs at the time of the sounding of the seventh trumpet in the book of Revelation. (Rev 20:6 NKJV) Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
The
Days Of Noah
Jesus said that the end times, the time immediately preceding his return would be similar to the time preceding the flood that occurred in Noah's lifetime. (Mat 24:37 NKJV) "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Luke 17:26 NKJV) "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: How was it in the days of Noah, and what happened to the righteous? Did they die in the flood? (Gen 6:11-13 NKJV) The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. This is an accurate description of the times we live in today so we can already see that God is correct in his prophecy that the end times will resemble the "Days of Noah." Violence fills our planet.
What Is The "Tribulation?"
The Tribulation or as it is sometimes called the "Great Tribulation" is the time period when the three sets of judgments described in the book of Revelation will come to pass. The first set of judgments is called "The Seven Seals." The second set of judgments is called The Seven Trumpets." The third set of judgments is called "The Seven Bowls," (or Vials) and is also stated in the bible to be the time of the pouring out of the "Wrath of God" on an unbelieving world. The "Seven Seals" are a description of the things that will occur when the person known as "The Antichrist" comes upon the world scene and rules the world. His activities will cause the events described in Revelation chapter four, including a temporary peace, war, famine, death, martyrdom of believers, disasters on earth and in outer space caused by modern day weapons of war. These signs will not be recognized by the world as having any prophetic significance. They will simply be viewed as the same type of things that have happened for thousands of years only on a larger scale due to the increased population and modern inventions. Only believers will see the hand of God and the prophetic significance of these events. People will not repent even when they should be able to see clearly from the bible that everything God said would happen is being fulfilled. The "Seven Trumpet Judgments" are selective plagues executed by God's last two prophets before the return of Christ, who are called the "Two Witnesses" in scripture. These two men are Enoch and Elijah, the two men who have never died, but will die at the hands of Antichrist. The plagues they will torment Antichrist's Kingdom with are; fire from heaven, bloody ocean water, poisonous lake and spring water, darkness, locust like scorpions that injure with painful stings, followed by preparation by the armies of the world for Armageddon. (Rev 11:3-6 NKJV) "And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth." These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. (Rev 11:7-10 NKJV) When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. (Rev 11:11-12 NKJV) Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. The two witnesses will die at the hands of Antichrist. The jubilation and celebration will be so great by the followers of Satan that they will be merrymaking and exchanging gifts with each other for three and one half days after the death of the "Two Witnesses." Just when they think that they have won, "The Rapture" will take place. It will be totally unexpected by the unbelieving world. They will be shocked. It will be no surprise however to the believers. (1 Th 5:1-3 NIV) Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. When the "Two Witnesses" are killed the world will think that all of their problems have ended, that the plagues inflicted by Enoch and Elijah are over and now they can practice sin completely without restraint. (1 Th 5:4-9 NIV) But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. The believers however will know just exactly what is coming next. First the taking of the Church and all believers to Heaven at the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet, and then the "Wrath of God" Will be poured out upon the world, as it says in verse nine. (1 Th 5:10-11 NIV) He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. It makes no difference whether we as believers die a natural death before the Tribulation starts, we die during the Tribulation either from natural causes or at the hand of Antichrist as a martyr, or if we live until the First Resurrection, the Rapture. Our absence from the body is merely our gateway into the presence of God. (2 Cor 5:6-10 NKJV) So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. The
Wrath of God
(Rev 11:15-17 NKJV) Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. (Rev 11:18 NKJV) The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth." The living believers who survive the first two sets of judgments described in the book of Revelation will be rescued before the third set of judgments is unleashed upon the earth. These judgments are the "Wrath of God," from which all believers will be spared. The 144,000 will live through this time period, but they will be supernaturally protected from all harm by God so they can meet Jesus on the earth at his return. The believers who died before the tribulation period and the believers who were martyred will return with Christ and watch him destroy the armies of the world at Armageddon. At the time immediately following the first Resurrection, the entire world will be filled with unbelievers except for the 144,000. The Two Witnesses, the Tribulation Saints, (both living and dead) and the saved of all ages have went up to Heaven in the first resurrection and are receiving their rewards at the judgment seat of Christ, as it says Rev 11:18 and 2 Cor 5:10. When they go up, we all go up, living and dead. I say again, after that moment only unbelievers will inhabit the earth, not counting the 144,000, and God will then pour out his wrath on an unbelieving world. (Rev 15:1 NKJV) Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. (Rev 15:2-6 NKJV) And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested." After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands. (Rev 15:7-8 NKJV) Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever. The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed. (Rev 16:1 NKJV) Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth." The
Three Possibilities
We will stop presenting the prophetic timeline here and focus in on helping you determine where you want to fit into God's plan for the future, if you have the option in the matter. Some of us are just too old for it to make any difference. We will die a natural death before the Tribulation even begins, let alone worrying about living through it. Many people have no desire to live into the Tribulation period, and that is fine. The Lord will give us the desires of our heart and will never put us into a situation that would cause us to deny him. Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (1 Cor 10:13 NKJV) No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. God will not force Christians to live into the Tribulation period to whom he has not given power to withstand any temptation that would cause that person to deny him. The
Righteous Were Spared From The Horror Of The Flood
(Isa
57:1-2 NIV) The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in
his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the
righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk
uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. The verse above pertains to the flood. God can of course do the same in any situation or time period, and no doubt he often does. The verse above is where we get the old saying, "The Good Die Young." The book of Jasher, a Jewish history book mentioned in the bible gives us a detailed explanation of the verse above. (Note: Jasher is not infallible scripture, but it is a reliable source of ancient history that fills in the gaps of many biblical accounts.) Jasher 4:20: And all men who walked in the ways of the Lord, died in those days, before the Lord brought the evil upon man which he had declared, for this was from the Lord, that they should not see the evil which the Lord spoke of concerning the sons of men. The Lord did rescue all of the righteous, all of those who trusted in him before the flood came and destroyed all of mankind. (With the exception of Noah and his family) He did not rescue them though by lifting them off of the earth. He rescued them by means of natural death. (Heb 11:7 NKJV) By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. (1 Pet 3:20 NKJV) who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. (2 Pet 2:4-5 NKJV) For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; (2 Pet 2:9 NKJV) then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, The
Tribulation Saints: Some Are Martyred, Some Are Raptured
The Tribulation Saints are those people who are spoken of in the Book of Revelation who will give their lives as a testimony to the world of Jesus Christ. As they die they will be received into heaven to await the Rapture, when they along with all other believers will receive their new spiritual bodies. I'm sure that the "Great Cloud of Witnesses" will be cheering for them as they pass through the pearly gates into God's Kingdom. (Heb 12:1-4 NIV) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. While it may not be pleasant enduring martyrdom at the hands of Antichrist, it would be a great way to be greeted by the saints on the other side of this life. (Rev 6:9-11 NKJV) When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. (Rev 12:10-11 NKJV) Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Rev 2:10-11 NIV) Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. (Luke 12:4-5 NKJV) "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. "But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! (Luke 12:8-9 NKJV) "Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. "But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. To those who have the gift of great faith and who desire to figuratively spit in the face of Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet, and who would like to receive a special crown in heaven, this might be the right way to go. Remember, this is not like something the terrorists do, blowing themselves up to take some of those they hate with them, this is peacefully volunteering to be beheaded to witness to Antichrist and the unbelieving world of ones faith in the creator, the Lord Jesus Christ. Some of the Tribulation Saints will not be killed by the Antichrist or die a natural death during the Tribulation Period. They will live through it all until the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet and go up to Heaven without ever experiencing death. This has to be so in order to fulfill the scriptures. The
One Hundred and Forty Four Thousand
If you are an Israelite
you may be able to go right through the Tribulation period totally
unscathed and be here on earth to meet Jesus when he returns. Following
that you will also be a great singer, praising God for
a thousand years with a song that no one else can sing but your special
group. You can't apply for this group though, you have to be specially
chosen by God. But, if you are an Israelite you can pray and hope that
you were born to be one of them if you so desire.(Rev 7:2-5 NKJV) Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads." And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed: Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father's name written on their foreheads. (Rev 14:2-3 NKJV) And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. In the end times there will be many more than eight people who survive the Tribulation Period. We know of 144,000 Israelites who will survive, and during the 1000 years of peace the earth will be repopulated by the survivors of the tribulation period from all nations. We know this because all nations will be fully repopulated when they muster their armies at the end of the Millennium (The 1000 years of peace) to attack Jesus Christ again at Jerusalem. The
Righteous Will Be Spared From The Tribulation Period By Natural Death
So then, what is the answer to the question, "Will the Christians go through the tribulation period? The answer for the most part is NO, they will not go through the tribulation period nor will any believer suffer God's Wrath. (1 Th 5:9 NKJV) For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, All Christians who are not a part of the sealed 144,000 or who have not been given a special measure of faith to enable them to joyfully give their life for Jesus, will be rescued by natural death before they can suffer and die when God's wrath is poured out upon the world. It will happen just like it did in the "Days of Noah." We are in an age when these things will soon take place upon the earth. Each of us must decide what to pray for and what is God's will for us as individuals. Should we pray for a natural death or should we pray for a faith like Stephen's, to be a martyr and witness for the faith during the times of Antichrist? The
Example Of Stephen
(Acts 7:55-58 NKJV) But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, "Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!" Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. (Acts 7:59-60 NKJV) And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Do not be ashamed if you feel you do not have the gift of faith required to face down the Antichrist and be beheaded. It is not for everyone. Some have one gift and some another. God distributes the gifts to each person as he desires. Only those with an extreme gift of faith have the ability to be a martyr and be happy about it, such as Stephen and later Peter and Paul. The Greatest martyr of all was of course Jesus. He gave his life for us. Joyfully! (2 Tim 4:5-8 NKJV) But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. Do what you can for the cause of Christ with the gifts you have while you are here. Be ready at any time for God to rescue you by natural death to be with him to view the Tribulation Period from heaven as it occurs. There you will enjoy it from above with the saved of all ages watching with delight as the Lord stymies Satan and Antichrist at every turn. Then you will welcome each tribulation saint as they enter into glory after having given their testimony for Jesus and then being beheaded and sailing off to glory to be where you already are. Then both you and them and dead and living Saints will receive your new bodies together at the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet when the Rapture takes place. Then all together we will celebrate the "Marriage supper of the Lamb." (1 Cor 12:1-11 NKJV) Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. Each of us must pray to find the will of God for our lives. Should we plan to work hard for Jesus and then die before the evil time comes upon the earth, or should we work hard for Jesus and plan to die at the hands of Antichrist. In the end it really makes no difference as we see from 2nd Corinthians 5:6. (2 Cor 5:6 NKJV) So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. (2 Cor 5:7-9 NKJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. (2 Cor 5:10 NKJV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. The important thing is that we will all be ready to give a good account of our actions when we stand before the judgment seat of Christ. (Mat 25:21 NKJV) "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' (Isa 57:1-2 NIV) The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. The righteous will again perish before the tribulation period as they did before the flood, and once again the unbelievers alive in the world will not understand that the righteous have been taken away to spare them from the terrible times that are about to come upon the world. Isaiah 57:1-2 is both a verse that has already occurred in history and prophecy that will be fulfilled again. Jasher 4:20: And all men who walked in the ways of the Lord, died in those days, before the Lord brought the evil upon man which he had declared, for this was from the Lord, that they should not see the evil which the Lord spoke of concerning the sons of men. So, the conclusion is, pray and figure out where God would have you fit into the end times scenario. If you expect to live for another twenty or thirty years He (God) may let you choose whether to enter His (God’s) kingdom through natural death, or through martyrdom, or you might even live through the first two sets of judgments and go up in the First Resurrection, commonly called "The Rapture." |

A Simple Picture of the Future
According to Biblical Prophecy July 2004
1. The true church, called "Philadelphia,” (Meaning brotherly love) will be reviled by the world, but blessed by the Lord. It may be taxed. Rev. 3:7-12. Dan 11:20. & future U.S. discrimination law. 2. The false dead church, called "Laodicea" will become the dominant church on the world scene. Rev 3:14-22 3. The seven seals begin. Antichrist, war, famine, and disasters, the mark. (Theme of the book of Revelation) (Rev 13:8 NIV) All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. (Notice, the saved are not deceived by Antichrist and do not take his mark. The Lord protects his people, in the world or out of it. If you have received Christ, do not fear the future, your name is in the Lamb’s book of life.) (John 10:14 NIV) "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me-- (John 10:27-28 NIV) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 4. The Two Witnesses arrive on the scene and preach for 3 1/2 years. The 7 trumpet judgments begin. 5. After 3 1/2 years the Two Witnesses will be killed. (Probably Enoch and Elijah, who have never died.) 6. 3 1/2 days after their death, they will be raised from the dead and ascend to heaven. Rev 11:3-13 7. The first resurrection, the harvest, also called the rapture might take place shortly after the Two Witnesses go up. Rev 14:9-20 (The harvest of the righteous, the reaping of the wicked into God’s winepress of wrath) 8. The Jews will realize that Jesus is the true Messiah when they miss the first resurrection. Jeremiah 8:20 9. The marriage supper of the Lamb will begin taking place in heaven. (Rev 19:7-9 NIV) Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'" And he added, "These are the true words of God." 10. The church and the old testament saints will celebrate with the Lord in his kingdom and receive rewards. 11. The Jews begin to pray for Jesus him to return and rescue them from the Antichrist. Matt 23:37-39 12. The seven bowls of God's wrath will be poured out on the earth, probably for a period of one year. (The hour of temptation, the church is definitely spared from this) 1 Th 5:9 KJV For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (Rev 15:1 KJV) And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 13. Evil demonic powers will gather the armies of the world to Armageddon. Rev 16:13-16 14. The Lord will return with his armies and his saints and destroy the armies of the world at Armageddon. Revelation chapter 19 15. Satan is bound for 1000 years. Rev 20:2-3 16. The millennium begins, 1000 years of peace on Earth under the rule of Jesus Christ. 17. Satan is released for a short time to test those born during the millennium. Rev 20:8-10 18. Satan gathers those who hate Christ to Jerusalem for the final battle, a repeat of Armageddon. 19. Satan and his armies are defeated again. The final rebellion has been put down. Rev 20 20. The 2nd resurrection takes place and the last (Great Whit Throne) judgment occurs. Rev 20:11 21. Eternity begins - God has new projects for us to participate in. His kingdom expands forever. (Isa 9:7 NCV) Power and peace will be in his kingdom and will continue to grow forever... He will make it strong by ruling with justice and goodness from now on and forever. The LORD All-Powerful will do this because of his strong love for his people. This is a simple outline of the future. All of the events listed will occur someday, according to the bible. The order of their occurrence is an educated guess on the authors part. The timing of the rapture or first resurrection is unknown. It can occur anytime from the very beginning of the tribulation to the end. The authors guess is that we go up shortly after the Two Witnesses go up, but your opinion is as good as mine. Keep Watching! |

COUNTDOWN TO 6000 PREFACE MODERN SCIENCE AND COMPUTERS HAVE ALSO PLAYED A LARGE PART IN THE KNOWLEDGE EXPLOSION. COMPUTERIZED CONCORDANCES HAVE REVOLUTIONIZED SYSTEMATIC BIBLICAL STUDIES. BY THE USE OF ONE "KEYWORD," EVERY VERSE WITH THAT PARTICULAR WORD, LETTER OR NUMBER COMBINATION IN IT CAN BE FOUND IN A MATTER OF SECONDS, WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF OVERLOOKING EVEN ONE OF THEM. THIS BOOK UTILIZES ALL OF THE LATEST DISCOVERIES AND TECHNIQUES TO RESEARCH THE BOOK OF REVELATION, AND PLACE THE EVENTS DESCRIBED IN IT IN THE ORDER THAT THEY ARE MOST LIKELY TO OCCUR. THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY HAVE BEEN ARRANGED AND ORGANIZED WITHIN THIS BOOK IS BASED LARGELY ON HOW EACH VERSE FITS TOGETHER WITH EVERY OTHER VERSE IN THE BIBLE THAT PERTAINS TO THE SAME SUBJECT. THE
PURPOSE OF THIS BOOK IS TO GIVE THOSE WHO WISH TO STUDY END TIMES
BIBLICAL PROPHECY A CLEARER UNDERSTANDING OF THE EVENTS, AND THE ORDER
OF THOSE EVENTS, THAT THE LORD HAS PROMISED TO BRING TO PASS ON THE
EARTH IN
THE NEAR FUTURE. R. J. ADAMS |

Salvation This site would not be complete without a simple explanation of Salvation. Very briefly, everyone who ever has or will ever make it into God’s Kingdom will have been saved by faith in the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Many before his first coming never knew is name as Jesus Christ. They only knew and believed by faith that God Would someday send a Redeemer, a Messiah, a Christ, to save them from both spiritual and physical problems. They had Faith in an unknown un-named Jesus Christ. The promise of a Saviour began in Genesis right after mans fall into sin and salvation by faith in this promise has been available from the time of Adam and Eve onward up until This promised Messiah, Saviour and Redeemer was revealed as Jesus Christ about 2000 years ago. We no longer have the option of just believing in some un-named coming redeemer for salvation. This option vanishes for every person the moment they hear, read or have the Gospel presented to them in some manner. From that point on they must make a choice. This is so because Jesus said; (John 10:24-29 NCV) The Jews gathered around him and said, "How long will you make us wonder about you? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered, "I told you already, but you did not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name show who I am. But you don't believe, because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never die, and no one can steal them out of my hand. My Father gave my sheep to me. He is greater than all, and no person can steal my sheep out of my Father's hand. Since Jesus returned to Heaven whenever anyone hears the Gospel the Holy Spirit is there to open the minds and hearts of those who are hearing it to the fact that it is the truth. Anyone who rejects the Gospel upon having it presented to it simply show that they are not willing to accept the truth and be saved. You can be saved right now, in the next few moments by simply praying sincerely to God the Father and to Jesus Christ the simple prayer below. Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ; I know I am a sinner. Please come into my life and save me and forgive me all of my sins and make me into the kind of person you want me to be. I’m trusting only in Jesus Christ for my salvation and I ask this prayer in his name. Thank You Lord for Saving me, Amen. That's all there is to it. Now tell someone about it. Read your Bible. Get Baptized. Discover your Spiritual Gifts and Talents. Find a good church and volunteer to serve in some manner according to your gifts and talents. You may ask, How do I find a good church. That's easy. Find one where people are being saved or at least an invitation is given for salvation through Jesus Christ in every service and you will be in a good church. (John 7:14-17 NCV) When the feast was about half over, Jesus went to the Temple and began to teach. The Jews were amazed and said, "This man has never studied in school. How did he learn so much?" Jesus answered, "The things I teach are not my own, but they come from him who sent me. If people choose to do what God wants, they will know that my teaching comes from God and not from me. If you begin to serve the Lord and do his will you will understand more and more with certainty the truth of teaching and doctrines of Jesus Christ. If you ever doubt your salvation, refer to the verse below, and remember, God cannot lie, it is true, and will always be true if you meet the qualifications in the verse below. (Rom 10:9 NKJV) that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Titus 1:2 NKJV) in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, |
