Rom. 11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:  “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.

Down through the centuries many Christian theologians have taught that the nation of Israel and the Jewish people have been rejected by God forever, and replaced by the Church. This is called “Replacement Theology” and has been taught since shortly after the destruction of Jerusalem and the scattering of the Jews to every part of the world.

It was unthinkable to the ancients that even God could or would regather and restore a nation and a people that was so thoroughly destroyed and scattered, or that he would even want to.

Think of yourself being a Christian in about 300 AD. The Jewish people had almost totally rejected Jesus Christ as Lord since the destruction of Jerusalem 230 years earlier. That is about as long as the United States has existed. Constantine, the first (so called) Christian Emperor has risen to the throne and pretty much made Christianity the state religion. It appeared at that time that the world was going to get better and better, that the gospel would be preached around the world, emanating from the Roman Empire, and then when the Church had completed that job Christ would return and raise the dead, commence the judgment, and eternity would begin. This is a brief summary of Christian prophetic theology when Rome ruled the world, and it appeared to be coming true.

For more information about Israel's Past and Future read :        Jerusalem       The Origin of the Problems in Gaza       The Two Witnesses: Enoch and Elijah

There was no place in this scenario for the restoration of the Jewish nation or people. The Christians of that day could not imagine that God would ever deal with those so called, “Christ Killers” the Jews, ever again. Why would he? They had rejected him and he had every right to now reject them permanently. And, he had found a new bride, the Church. To the people of that day it made absolutely no sense that God would ever reconcile with the people who crucified Jesus.

(Mat 27:24 NKJV)  When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it."
(Mat 27:25 NKJV)  And all the people answered and said, "His blood be on us and on our children."
(Mat 27:26 NKJV)  Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

So, how did they line that up with scripture. They simply said that all of the promises in the old testament to Abrahams descendants now belonged to the Christians and the Church. That is what “Replacement Theology” is. In their minds, the Church had replaced the Jews.

But, history has now shown that God had other Ideas. The Roman empire also fell. The Roman church fell into sin. Reformation was needed and came in the 1500’s. But even the newly reformed church was never able to reach the whole world with the gospel and make the world a wonderful place, where everyone was honest, pious and charitable. Just look at the world today for proof of that. Christianity and the Church have not succeeded in making the world a better and better place preparing the way for an almost perfect world to welcome back a perfect saviour, Jesus Christ. So, the theory of “replacement theology” and an ever improving world has been proven wrong by the passage of time. It simply has not happened.

So what has happened? God has begun to fulfill his promises to the Jews and Israelites here in these the last days. He has made them a nation once again and is in the process of regathering more and more Jews and Lost Tribes people back to the land of Israel.

There have been many, many books written on the subject of the restoration of the Jewish nation. That is not our topic here. It is enough to say that it has come to pass. It has already come true. It is an undeniable fact. On May 14th 1948 Israel took it’s place once again among the nations of the world for the first time since 70 AD. It had been 1,878 years since a Jewish flag had flown over Israel.

This lines up perfectly with God’s word, the bible in that God had promised that he would restore their nation in the end times, followed by a spiritual revival. The national restoration has been partially accomplished already. The spiritual restoration is just beginning.

Dan. 9:7  “Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame—the men of Judah and people of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you.

Dan. 9:11 All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. “Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you.

Israel was scattered because of their sin. God promised in the old testament that if they followed His law they would be blessed and remain in the land He had given them. But, if they failed to keep his law they would be cursed and expelled from the land.

Deut. 28:1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
Deut. 28:2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:
Deut. 28:3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
Deut. 28:4  The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
Deut. 28:5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
Deut. 28:6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
Deut. 28:7  The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
Deut. 28:8  The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
Deut. 28:9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.
Deut. 28:10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you.
Deut. 28:11  The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
Deut. 28:12  The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
Deut. 28:13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
Deut. 28:14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

The promises to the nation of Israel concerning the blessings of the Lord for obedience to his commandments do not just pertain to them. Any nation who makes the Lord their God and follows his law will be blessed. That is why the United States and Britain became great empires, and their empires declined as they strayed farther and farther away from God. Our problems in the US today in 2009 are spiritual problems, not financial problems. We have lost the Lord’s blessing because of our sins. No amount of printing of green currency by the Federal Reserve can make up for losing the blessing of the Lord on our country.

Israel did the same things we are doing today and lost their whole nation for almost 1,900 years. If we do not want our nation to cease to exist we need to get back on the right track soon. We are now under the curses that you will read about next. Remember, God cannot lie. He must keep his word.

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

If He destroyed Israel He must destroy us also. However, Israel has a promise to be regathered someday. We (The USA) have no such promise. If we cease to exist we may cease to exist forever.

Deut. 28:15  However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
Deut. 28:16  You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.
Deut. 28:17  Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.
Deut. 28:18  The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
Deut. 28:19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.
Deut. 28:20  The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.
Deut. 28:21 The LORD will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess.
Deut. 28:22 The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish.
Deut. 28:23 The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron.
Deut. 28:24 The LORD will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed.
Deut. 28:25  The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth.
Deut. 28:26 Your carcasses will be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and there will be no one to frighten them away.
Deut. 28:27 The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured.
Deut. 28:28 The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind.
Deut. 28:29 At midday you will grope about like a blind man in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.
Deut. 28:30  You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and ravish her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit.
Deut. 28:31 Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them.
Deut. 28:32 Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand.
Deut. 28:33 A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days.
Deut. 28:34 The sights you see will drive you mad.
Deut. 28:35 The LORD will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.
Deut. 28:36  The LORD will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your fathers. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone.
Deut. 28:37 You will become a thing of horror and an object of scorn and ridicule to all the nations where the LORD will drive you.
Deut. 28:38  You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it.
Deut. 28:39 You will plant vineyards and cultivate them but you will not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.
Deut. 28:40 You will have olive trees throughout your country but you will not use the oil, because the olives will drop off.
Deut. 28:41 You will have sons and daughters but you will not keep them, because they will go into captivity.
Deut. 28:42 Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land.
Deut. 28:43  The alien who lives among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower.
Deut. 28:44 He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. He will be the head, but you will be the tail.
Deut. 28:45  All these curses will come upon you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the LORD your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you.
Deut. 28:46 They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever.
Deut. 28:47 Because you did not serve the LORD your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity,
Deut. 28:48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the LORD sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.
Deut. 28:49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand,
Deut. 28:50 a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young.
Deut. 28:51 They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined.
Deut. 28:52 They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the LORD your God is giving you.
Deut. 28:53  Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the LORD your God has given you.
Deut. 28:54 Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children,
Deut. 28:55 and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities.
Deut. 28:56 The most gentle and sensitive woman among you—so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot—will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter
Deut. 28:57 the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities.
Deut. 28:58  If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the LORD your God—
Deut. 28:59 the LORD will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses.
Deut. 28:60 He will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you.
Deut. 28:61 The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.
Deut. 28:62 You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left but few in number, because you did not obey the LORD your God.
Deut. 28:63 Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you. You will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess.
Deut. 28:64  Then the LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.
Deut. 28:65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.
Deut. 28:66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.
Deut. 28:67 In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.

The curses go on much longer than the blessings because the Lord knows the future. He knew Israel would fall into sin and lose their blessings in short order, and he knows that every nation that begins to follow his law will soon depart from it. From Rome to the Greeks to all of Europe and Germany to England, and to the USA, every nation that has been God fearing for a time has fallen away, and been punished for it.  WE (the USA) are being punished for it now.

The gentile nations have no promise of restoration, although God is merciful and perhaps during the millennium some nations and empires will be blessed again. He doesn’t have to do that though, he may if He wants to. However, to Israel, he has given a promise of restoration, and since He cannot lie, he must keep it.

Ezek. 36:1 “Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
Ezek. 36:2 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The enemy said of you, “Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession.” ’

This is what the Palestinians and the Arab peoples are saying today. They want to wipe Israel off of the map and take the land that God gave Abraham, Isaac’s and Jacob’s descendants for themselves. This is what the controversy in Israel is all about. We need to make sure our government is on God’s side in this issue or we will be losers.  There is nothing we can do to change pre-written history, which is commonly called prophecy. When the “Times of the Gentiles” are over the Israelites will again rule over the nation of Israel, which is in process today.

Luke 21:24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Ezek. 36:3 Therefore prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because they ravaged and hounded you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander,
Ezek. 36:4 therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign LORD: This is what the Sovereign LORD says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the desolate ruins and the deserted towns that have been plundered and ridiculed by the rest of the nations around you—
Ezek. 36:5 this is what the Sovereign LORD says: In my burning zeal I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, for with glee and with malice in their hearts they made my land their own possession so that they might plunder its pastureland.’
Ezek. 36:6 Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I speak in my jealous wrath because you have suffered the scorn of the nations.
Ezek. 36:7 Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I swear with uplifted hand that the nations around you will also suffer scorn.
Ezek. 36:8  “ ‘But you, O mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home.
Ezek. 36:9 I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown,
Ezek. 36:10 and I will multiply the number of people upon you, even the whole house of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.

This has already happened, many of the towns have been rebuilt. This prophecy has been fulfilled, and it continues to be fulfilled as more and more Israelites move back to Israel from all over the world. The financial scandals of today, such as the Bernard Madoff scheme may actually serve to increase the rate of Jewish people returning to Israel. As they go broke in the United States they can relocate to Israel and receive help from the Israeli government in making a new start.

Ezek. 36:11 I will increase the number of men and animals upon you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

There may be some investment advice here. The Lord is going to prosper Israel in the end times. Could that include the Tel Aviv stock exchange and Jewish businesses? Maybe it’s time to look beyond Wall Street for investment opportunities.

Ezek. 36:12 I will cause people, my people Israel, to walk upon you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance; you will never again deprive them of their children.
Ezek. 36:13  “ ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because people say to you, “You devour men and deprive your nation of its children,”
Ezek. 36:14 therefore you will no longer devour men or make your nation childless, declares the Sovereign LORD.
Ezek. 36:15 No longer will I make you hear the taunts of the nations, and no longer will you suffer the scorn of the peoples or cause your nation to fall, declares the Sovereign LORD.’”

According to God’s promise above, the nation of Israel will never fall again. It will never cease to exist again until eternity begins when all things become new. Those who are seeking to destroy Israel are fighting a losing battle. Israel will be decimated by war when Antichrist rules, but they will be rescued by the return of Jesus Christ before the nation of Israel ceases to exist again.

Ezek. 36:16  Again the word of the LORD came to me:
Ezek. 36:17 “Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness in my sight.
Ezek. 36:18 So I poured out my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land and because they had defiled it with their idols.
Ezek. 36:19 I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions.

God was responsible for dispersing Israel and scattering them among the nations. The Roman empire was the instrument he used to perform that deed, but He was the orchestrator of it.

Ezek. 36:20 And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them, ‘These are the LORD’S people, and yet they had to leave his land.’
Ezek. 36:21 I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.
Ezek. 36:22  “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.

God is not restoring the Nation of Israel because they are better than anyone else or because of their holiness. Indeed, the Jewish people are some of the worst sinners in the world. Look ar Hollywood and the banking industry, which many of the Jews run. The Jewish people are often in the pocket of the devil.

He (God) is doing it for his own sake, to prove his word, to prove he is God and for the sake of his own Holy Name. Many people in the world hate Israel because they are called "The Chosen People."  God chose them to be an example of his power, when they obey him they are blessed, when they disobey, they are cursed. They were chosen to be a living example of God's power, not because they are better than anyone else. If the Arabs and the rest of the world understood that perhaps they would not be so quick to hate. The Jews themselves have often said: If God chose us, we wish he would choose someone else." They say this because they have suffered all of the curses written in the Law that we have just read in Deuteronmy. They have suffered because of their disobedience.

Ezek. 36:23 I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.

The Lord will show himself to be the one true and holy God when he restores the Israeli fortunes despite the opposition of almost the entire world.

Ezek. 36:24  “ ‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.

So there can be no doubt, God reiterates his promise to gather Israel from all the nations of the world back to the land He gave them.

Ezek. 36:25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.
Ezek. 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Ezek. 36:27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

When God has regathered many of the Israelites from all over the world back into Israel, THEN He will open their eyes to receive the gospel, forgive their sins when they accept the Messiah Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus, meaning Salvation) and make them clean in his sight. When their eyes are opened, they will want to serve him and follow his laws.

Today in 2009 we are very close to the time when nearly half of the world’s Jews have returned to Israel. The last report I had was that about 45% of the Jews in the world were residing in Israel. When we get over 50% God will probably begin to open their eyes to the gospel. There are Messianic Jewish Christians (Jewish believers in Yeshua the Messiah) all over the world, but not many in Israel yet. When those Messianic Jews return to Israel and start preaching the gospel and explaining the scripture to the population, millions of Jews will be saved. I expect this to begin by 2012 and continue until the return of Jesus Christ.

Ezek. 36:28 You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
Ezek. 36:29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you.
Ezek. 36:30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine.
Ezek. 36:31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices.
Ezek. 36:32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign LORD. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, O house of Israel!
Ezek. 36:33  “ ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
Ezek. 36:34 The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it.
Ezek. 36:35 They will say, “This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.”
Ezek. 36:36 Then the nations around you that remain will know that I the LORD have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I the LORD have spoken, and I will do it.’
Ezek. 36:37  “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Once again I will yield to the plea of the house of Israel and do this for them: I will make their people as numerous as sheep,
Ezek. 36:38 as numerous as the flocks for offerings at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts. So will the ruined cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

It is the Lord who brought Israel back to their land. Not Great Britain, Not the United States, not the United Nations, The Lord God fulfilled his word and made Israel a nation once more. He scattered them and he regathered them, proving replacement theology wrong. Now, since we know replacement theology is wrong, the question is, what comes next? We have already seen in the previous verses that once the majority of Israelites have returned to the Holy Land they will begin to be saved, but God gives us even more detail as to how that salvation will come about and again reiterates, so there can be no doubt, that He is in charge of this program, not the nations of the world.

The Valley of Dry Bones

Ezek. 37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.
Ezek. 37:2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.
Ezek. 37:3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”
Ezek. 37:4  Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!
Ezek. 37:5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.
Ezek. 37:6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”
Ezek. 37:7  So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.
Ezek. 37:8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
Ezek. 37:9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’”
Ezek. 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
Ezek. 37:11  Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’

God tells us what this valley of dry bones represents. It represents the whole house of Israel, which includes all Jews and Lost tribes people.

Ezek. 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.
Ezek. 37:13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them.
Ezek. 37:14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’”

The Lord goes on to tell us that the Nation of Judah and the nation of Israel will be reunited into one nation, which has happened. For some who may not know much about biblical history, I will give you a brief review.

Israel after the death of Solomom had a civil war. Almost exactly the same as the Civil War in the United States, it was the North against the South. However, there was never a winner of the war. Instead they separated and became two countries. The North was called Israel and the South Judah. The nation of Assyria came long before the first coming of Christ and carried off the Northern Kingdom into captivity and from there they were scattered throughout the world. Israel, the northern kingdom was dispersed in 721 BC.

The Southern kingdom of Judah, (from which we get the name Jews) remained until 70 AD, (With a 70 year captivity during the lifetime of Daniel) 40 years after the crucifixion for Christ. Then the Romans came and destroyed it and scattered the Jews all over the world. As we read these next verses keep this in mind, that Israel was dispersed as two nations, but when they return to the land of Israel they will become one nation again, as they were in the beginning. This has already happened. There is no North and South Israel. There is only one nation today.

Num. 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God has done just as he said he would do, and we can count on him following his word right to the letter in everything else. That is why we can put our trust in him for our salvation. Once again, he is the God who cannot lie.

Ezek. 37:15  The word of the LORD came to me:
Ezek. 37:16 “Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Ephraim’s stick, belonging to Joseph and all the house of Israel associated with him.’
Ezek. 37:17 Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand.
Ezek. 37:18  “When your countrymen ask you, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by this?’
Ezek. 37:19 say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph—which is in Ephraim’s hand—and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick, making them a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand.’
Ezek. 37:20 Hold before their eyes the sticks you have written on
Ezek. 37:21 and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land.
Ezek. 37:22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms.

As I said earlier, this is prophecy that we can see fulfilled with our own eyes today. Now as we continue reading we will see that the continuation of this prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. It is next on God’s agenda. Many of us alive today will live to see it. As I said earlier, I expect it to begin soon.

Ezek. 37:23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

David, in the next verse is a reference to the Messiah, Yeshua, because he was descended from David in his human lineage.

Ezek. 37:24  “ ‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees.

Ezek. 37:25 They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever.
Ezek. 37:26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever.

The Lord will rebuild his temple in Israel after the return of Christ. However, another temple will also be built before Antichrist comes to power. This is necessary so it can be desecrated by him (the Antichrist) during the tribulation period.

Ezek. 37:27 My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Ezek. 37:28 Then the nations will know that I the LORD make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever. ’”

The next chapter, Ezekiel gives us more details of how the Lord will open the eyes of Jews and Israelites to who he is. While God is now in the process of saving a few here and a few there through the Messianic Jewish movement, there will be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit  when the prophecies of Ezekiel 37 are fulfilled. Millions will come to Christ almost instantly.

Ezek. 38:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Ezek. 38:2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
Ezek. 38:3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
Ezek. 38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Ezek. 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Ezek. 38:6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
Ezek. 38:7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
Ezek. 38:8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Notice this prophecy is for “the Latter years” in other words, the end times. We can be sure of that because it does not happen until the nation of Israel is restored and the people have been brought back from out of all the nations where they were scattered. This prophecy could not have been fulfilled for thousands of years. Israel was a divided nation in ancient times. Only Judah existed in the time of Christ. And from 70 AD onward the nation of Israel did not even exist. So, we are living in the time period when it is at least possible for God to fulfill his word. We are getting closer to this fulfillment every day.

Also notice that the ancient name for Iran is Persia. Iran is the most vocal nation in the world today concerning the destruction of Israel. How could anyone except the true God make such a prediction about the end times and be right on the money unless the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is that one true God?

One of my reasons for doing this study is to alert the reader to it before it happens. That way you can be sure when you see it come to pass that it is not some interpretation after the fact, as so much false prophecy is, like the interpretations of Nostrodamus’ writings to refer to the Kennedy brothers.

Is. 48:5  Therefore I told you these things long ago; before they happened I announced them to you so that you could not say, ‘My idols did them; my wooden image and metal god ordained them.’

God has given us pre-written history far in advance, so we can be sure he is making it happen, not just chance or some other false gods. He has give us history in advance so we can be sure that his word, the bible is the truth.

Prov. 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?

He goes on in Ezekiel to tell us how he will be glorified in the eyes of the gentiles and how many Jews and Israelites will come to know and believe that He, the Lord Yaweh (the Jewish name for Jehovah) is God, and Yeshua (Jesus) is his son.

Ezek. 38:9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
Ezek. 38:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
Ezek. 38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
Ezek. 38:12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

When economic conditions deteriorate even further than what they have in 2009, Israel’s neighbors will covet their wealth. They will come down to take away the wealth that the Lord has blessed Israel with, Israel, the people who have been gathered from many nations and restored to the promised land.

Ezek. 38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

The nations of the world who are friendly to Israel but who have so many of their own problems that they are unable to act will question the intent of the multitude that has gathered to steal Israel’s goods. The young lions probably represent Great Britain, the United States, Canada and Australia, countries that will probably be friendly to Israel, but too weak to help her.

Ezek. 38:14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

Israel will be dwelling safely at the time this happens. That is not the case today. Israel lives with constant terrorism from Hamas, Hezbollah, the Palestinians, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, and many other nations that hate God. That may sound harsh to say that the nations that attack Israel hate the God of the bible, but it is the truth. They may not even realize it though. I can say that with certainty because it is Satan, the enemy of God, who is always behind scenes trying to eliminate Israel. Why does he do that? He does it in an attempt to make God a liar. To prevent the Lord from keeping his word. Satan tries to stop every prophecy and every promise in the bible from coming true. This is what he has done since the beginning of the Human race, from the time of Adam and Eve. Satan fights against God’s program every inch of the way, from trying to prevent a person from being healed of a headache to the destruction of nations, he has a hand in it all. His followers are deceived, they are following a liar and a murderer.

John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Some even think that they are doing a service for God by killing Jews and Christians.

John 16:2  …in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.

2Cor. 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

They are doing a service for their God, who has been called the “God of this World” Satan.

Ezek. 38:15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
Ezek. 38:16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

In the latter days, in the end times, this will happen. A great army will come from the north, and invade Israel. Syria is directly north of Israel, and Russia north of Syria. Most of the Moslem nations will also join in, believing that this is their opportunity to destroy Israel once and for all.

Ezek. 38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
Ezek. 38:18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.
Ezek. 38:19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
Ezek. 38:20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
Ezek. 38:21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
Ezek. 38:22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Ezek. 38:23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

The nations of the world who are friendly to Israel will be unable to help at this time, but that is no problem. In fact, not only is it not a problem, it is God’s plan. It is his plan so that He will receive the glory for Israel’s rescue. Why does he want the Glory? Is it just to satisfy his ego? Not at all. He wants many nations to know that He is the Lord so that they can be saved. God’s desire is that all should come to repentance and be saved, both Jews and Gentiles.

2Pet. 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Rom. 1:16  I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

It is because of his great mercy that he causes this to happen, so that multitudes can be saved, probably before the rapture. In his mercy he is giving the nations of the world a chance to see his power before the tribulation begins and the seven bowls of his wrath is poured out as outlined in Revelation chapter sixteen.

Ezek. 39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
Ezek. 39:2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

Only one sixth of the armies that come against Israel will be left alive. Five sixths will be destroyed. They will have at least six years and maybe more to rebuild their armies to gather them to Israel again at Armageddon (Har-Megiddo) when Christ returns, as outlined in Revelation chapter sixteen.

That is a part of the proof that this war is not Armageddon, and it is quite a few years before it. At Armageddon all the armies gathered there are destroyed and a judgment takes place. Here one sixth of the armies are allowed to escape and return home to tell the tale. The soldiers returning home may themselves become saved and lead many to Christ, having witnessed God’s power first hand. This war almost certainly precedes the rapture by at least a few years and maybe more.

Ezek. 39:3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
Ezek. 39:4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
Ezek. 39:5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
Ezek. 39:6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Ezek. 39:7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
Ezek. 39:8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

Again the Lord reiterates that his purpose in all of this is to make his Holy Name known both to Israel and the heathen.

Ezek. 39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

In the verses above we see that Israel will cleanse the land for seven months and burn the weapons of war for seven years. This will probably not be necessary when Christ returns as we expect that He will clean everything up and provide a great place to live for his people.  Again, that is why this war precedes the rapture. If you are a Christian and you think that you are just going to go merrily along through life until one day you are taken up while out for a Sunday drive after church, you are sadly mistaken. God is going to show his power to the world before he sends the tribulation period and his wrath. This is for the purpose of mercy towards the unsaved, not punishment for the just. We won't undergo God's wrath, but as he is performing his wonderous act of rescuing Israel the world will be in turmoil. Christians are no exempt from worldwide events.

Mat 5:45 "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

They don't ask you if you are a Christian before you receive a pink layoff slip. The rain falls on the just and the unjust. So be forwarned, prepare for it.

Ezek. 39:10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

Because of the “seven years” statement it would seem that this war takes place just before the tribulation period begins. If that were so the Israelites could be using the left over war material for fuel all through the tribulation. We will have to wait and see how it all transpires, but if it happens this way then almost everyone in the world will have had the opportunity to know who the true God is before the rapture takes place. If they choose to reject their opportunity to be saved then they will stay on earth and suffer his wrath.

Ezek. 39:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.
Ezek. 39:12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
Ezek. 39:13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
Ezek. 39:14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
Ezek. 39:15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.
Ezek. 39:16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

A city called “Hamonah” will exist at that time. In actuality it probably already exists. Hamonah means “multitude” or “horde.” Which is what will be buried there, a great multitude of people from foreign armies who died there by the hand of God.

Qiryat Shemona was established on 1949 on the lands of the deserted Arab village Khalsa and was first named Qiryat Yoseph.. Founded in 1949, it has 21,500 inh. It is the northernmost city in Israel.

Qiryat means city or town, so the name means “Town of Shemona.” It was named for eight people who fought valiantly there in 1920. As stated above, it is the northernmost major town in Israel. It will probably re renamed “Hamonah” after the war described in Ezekiel. Notice how close the name already is. Just drop the “S” and you have Hemonah, very close to the name Hamonah. God is surely in control of everything, right down to the smallest detail.

Ezek. 39:17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
Ezek. 39:18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Ezek. 39:19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
Ezek. 39:20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

The fowls and the beasts of the earth will help the Israeli’s clean things up. That way the Hebrews will only have to deal with the bones, not all of the rotting flesh. Interestingly enough huge flocks of flesh eating birds migrate right over this area twice a year, just like in the United States. The birds fly south for the winter to Africa in the fall, and north in the summer. It is most likely that this war will happen in the fall, on one of the fall feast days, in the September or October time frame, right when the birds are flying over on their way to Africa. If it doesn’t happen in the fall then it will happen in the spring, probably around the time of Passover. God rescued the Israelites from the Egyptians at Passover, so perhaps he will also rescue them from the northern armies at the same time of year. Whenever it happens, the birds will enjoy a great feast and get drunk and fat on blood and flesh. How anyone could doubt that the Lord is God after this is beyond my comprehension, but many will reject God’s offer of salvation and miss the rapture and suffer his wrath.

Ezek. 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
Ezek. 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

Here we are: the most important verse in this chapter that pertains to this study. Read it again if you didn’t see it. God states that “From that day forward” the house of Israel (All Israel, Jews and lost Tribes) will know that He is God. What is so important about this. Because here it is, this is when the Jews get saved! This is when “Jews for Jesus” really gets into full swing. Perhaps they will call it something else though, like “Israelites for Yeshua.” Whatever it is called, it will be the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Jewish people since the day of Pentecost.

Will you and your church be ready to teach and baptize all of the new converts coming to Christ? If not then get ready. Do you want to lay up treasure in Heaven? This will be the opportunity of a lifetime. Israelites all over the world, in the Holy land and outside of it will be coming to Christ. Thousands per day, millions per week will receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour as God pours out his Holy Spirit upon them. This is going to be something big, we need to be ready for it. Not that God can’t do it all without us, he can! But, don’t you want to help in the greatest evangelistic program of all time. This won’t be some Church program with some flyers sent in from district headquarters to post and pass out. This is a God program with the Holy Spirit doing miracles, like in the days of the founding of the Church. This is the book of Acts being relived in the end times. Get ready Church, it is coming and coming soon!

Ezek. 39:23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
Ezek. 39:24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

Even many of the heathen will be getting saved and believing. What a revival. This is bigger than Pentecost, bigger than the Reformation, bigger than Azuza street, bigger than anything the world has ever seen.

Ezek. 39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

The Lord will have mercy on the “Whole House of Israel.” This does not mean that every last Jew and Israelite will get saved. They are free to reject his offer of mercy. But, even those who reject his salvation will be saved in a sense, because they were saved from the northern armies that surrounded their country. And in his mercy he will bless the nation of Israel financially. Even those who don’t accept salvation will be blessed.

Ezek. 39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
Ezek. 39:27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Ezek. 39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which cause them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
Ezek. 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Joel 2:27  Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the LORD your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.
Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
Joel 2:29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
Joel 2:30 "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
Joel 2:31 NKJV The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.

God will pour out His Holy spirit on the whole House of Israel in the end times. Notice, this is BEFORE his return and before the tribulation period. The exciting thing is that we know all about it in advance. As we watch the events unfold on television, perhaps over a weeks time or more, we can know just what the outcome will be. When Israel is attacked by armies from the north, the armies will be destroyed by a great earthquake and other miraculous events. Then the Jews will get saved! Get ready! It will probably happen within 20 years.

The only thing that has to happen first is for Israel to be living in peace and to be really blessed financially. They (Israel) recently found a natural gas supply off the coast of Israel that will supply all of their energy needs for 15 to 20 years. God can make them very rich in a very short time. He can also make nations very poor in a very short time, as we are finding out in 2009. Watch for Israel to get safe (so they think) and rich, and then this war and their salvation will happen, by God’s divine plan.

This is followed by the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem in chapter forty of Ezekiel. Chapter forty is kind of a double prophecy, in my opinion. The earthquake that strikes Israel and destroys the armies gathered there will probably also destroy the Moslem mosque that now sits on the temple mount. With the mosque gone and five sixths of the Arab armies destroyed, they will not be able to prevent Israel from immediately building a new temple on that spot. However, that temple will be desecrated by Antichrist and will not be fit for Christ to rule from during the millennium. So, Antichrist’s temple will probably be destroyed at the return of Christ when Armageddon takes place. Christ will then build his own temple to rule from, probably in three days.

John 2:18  Then the Jews demanded of him, “What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”
John 2:19  Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
John 2:20  The Jews replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”
John 2:21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body.

While it is true that at his (Christ’s) first coming as a suffering servant, he was speaking of his resurrection, at his second coming as Lord of Lords and King of Kings he will probably build the literal temple in three days. Many prophecies have double fulfillments and meanings, one spiritual and one literal, and sometimes even more meanings.

Matt. 10:5  These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.

Matt. 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

We must not forget that Jesus’ primary mission was to save the Jews and the lost tribes of Israel. That’s who he was sent to. That was his job. The church age is like a sandwich. It began with all Jews, Jesus and his apostles. They are like a slice of kosher bread. Then the gentiles were allowed to come in. Paul was called by God to be the apostle to the gentiles.

Is. 49:6 he says: “It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept.  I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 18:6 But when the Jews opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am clear of my responsibility. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

Acts 22:21 “Then the Lord said to me, ‘Go; I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

We, the gentiles are the “Ham” in the sandwich. We are the unclean (non kosher) people who have become clean through Christ. But, our time as God’s primary program is ending. The “Times of the Gentiles” are coming to a close. The top slice of bread is becoming ready to be placed on this sandwich. God will redirect his program back to the Jews and they will complete the “church age.” They started it and they will finish it.

However, that is not to say that gentiles can no longer be saved. The gospel has been available to Jews down through the centuries and it will continue to be available to all until the rapture takes place. But, what will change is who is preaching it. The Jewish apostles preached it first. Then the gentile Church began with Paul’s preaching, confirmed by Peters experience with Cornelius. Now it will revert back to the Jews soon.

Who will do it? First of all those who have witnessed the miracle rescue of Israel from the northern armies. Many will be saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and become preachers of the gospel. Secondly, the “Two Witnesses” of the book of Revelation, one of them being Elijah and the other probably Enoch who lived before the flood and was Noah’s grandfather.  He was a progenitor of both the Jews and the gentiles. (Neither of these men have ever died, but have been kept alive by God to preach in the end times) Thirdly, the gospel will be attested to by the 144,000 faithful Israelites who will supernaturally protected by God to live through his wrath and meet Jesus Christ with beautiful singing at his return.

Rev. 11:3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”

Rev. 14:3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

Acts 2:36  “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Rom. 11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion;   he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.

You might say, well, where does that leave us? How can we help when God has it all planned out already. Remember, when Paul and all of the other Apostles were preaching the gospel, they appointed elders and bishops in every city to teach the people and continue on with the work after they traveled on. Someone will need to baptize, teach and share communion with all of these new converts.

Never forget, it is God’s desire for every believer to reach his or her maximum potential. God wants us to lay up treasure in heaven so we can be blessed by him throughout all eternity. Just like you want you children to be successful, God wants us to be successful. He will provide plenty of work for us to assist him with if we are willing to do so. If we are not willing, He will get it done anyway. His program will be completed, with us or without us, so we better get on board, in tune with the Holy Spirit, and in line with what God is doing. Even if you are not an evangelist you can lay up treasure in Heaven. Jesus gave us the formula.

Matt. 10:42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.”

If you want to prepare to help those who need it in the end times you should read “Investing in Silver for the End Times on the www.countdownto6000.com website. To find out what other as yet unfulfilled prophecy will be fulfilled in the near future read “Countdown to 6000,” at the same location.

Not all of the prophecy concerning the spiritual restoration of Israel is in the old testament. In fact, Paul give us a clear picture of the restoration of Israel in a spiritual sense. Some of you who are Jewish may be surprised to learn that  the New  Testament  includes in it  prophecy that  God will renew his spiritual dealings with Israel in the end times.

Rom. 11:1 I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.
Rom. 11:2 God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel:
Rom. 11:3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”?
Rom. 11:4 And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”
Rom. 11:5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
Rom. 11:11  Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.
Rom. 11:12 But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!

Many gentile Christians may feel very badly that the gentile Church age is coming to an end. It has had a rich and long history. It is hard to let go of our traditions, just the same as it was for the Jews when the era of temple sacrifices came to an end in 70 AD.

However, this is nothing to be sad about. If the rejection of the gospel meant life for the gentiles, Paul says; “How much greater will their acceptance of the gospel bring blessing on the whole world.” When the Jews and Israelites begin to accept the Gospel it means that we are on the very brink of the return of Jesus Christ. It means that the millennium, the 1000 years of peace under the rulership of Jesus Christ is near. The crooked politicians and businessmen will be gone. The world will be a wonderful place to live. Every man will sit under his own vine and fig tree. No one will forclose on your private property and tax you to death for what you earn.

Zech. 3:10  “ ‘In that day each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and fig tree,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”

Mic. 4:1 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’S temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.
Mic. 4:2  Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob.  He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Mic. 4:3  He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.  They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.  Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
Mic. 4:4 Every man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the LORD Almighty has spoken.

There will be no more war during the millennium and the Lord hiself will deal out justice and settle disputes. We will join him in ruling over the earth if we are a part of the “Bride of Christ.” Paul gives us the final wrap up for the end of this present age.

Rom. 11:15 For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

What is Paul saying here? Do you see it? When the Jews accept Christ, there will be life from the dead. He is telling us that the rapture, the First Resurrection as Revelation calls it, will take place when the Israelites are converted. WoW! We will never know the day and the hour of our Lord’s return, but we will know when it is very very near, even at the door. It will be at the door when Israelites are getting saved in record numbers.

Mark 13:29 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door.

Rom. 11:25  I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
Rom. 11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
Rom. 11:27 And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”

Heb. 8:10  This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts.  I will be their God, and they will be my people.

                 HAPPY, JOYOUS AND FREE
  Happy, Joyous & Free

I heard the statement made one time by a man who said, “I know that it is God’s will for me to be happy, joyous and free.” Those words stuck in my mind for months. How could he know that?, I wondered at various times when his words popped into my mind. What if God wants us to go through a time of suffering? What if it is God’s will for us to be miserable? Shouldn’t we just accept it and play the hand that is dealt to us? Why should we try to be happy if God wants us sad? Is what he said scriptural? These questions and more like them nagged at my mind for months until one day I decided to do something about it. I decided to search the scriptures to see if I could find out if there was any validity to what he said, it or if it was just the ramblings of an old man.

Being Happy, Joyous and Free is God’s Will

We need to get it into our minds that it is not just an option to be happy, joyous and free, it is a command of Christ and a theme throughout the scriptures. In other words it is a sin not to be happy, joyous and free. If we are living in sin we cannot receive all that God has to offer in his plan for our life. So, if a person is not happy, joyous and free they need to stop sinning and get on with God’s program.

It’s A Command To Be Happy, Give Thanks, And Sing Praises To God

(Psa 68:4 NIV)  Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds -- his name is the LORD-- and rejoice before him.
(1 Th 5:16-18 NIV)  Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

If something is a command Then it is a sin not to do it. As the scripture says, if someone knows something is right but doesn’t practice it themn to them it is sin. So, it is a sin not to be joyful.

(James 4:17 NCV)  Anyone who knows the right thing to do, but does not do it, is sinning.

In the middle ages many misguided souls thought that a pure expression of Christianity was to be like a monk in a silent world away from everyone practicing penance and stoic behaviour, punishing the body. It was at this time that Martin Luther while climbing the stairs of the Sistine Chapel on bloody knees received the revelation that salvation was by grace through faith, not by works. He wrote many songs expressing his joy to the Lord for giving him the understanding of the simple gospel that was preached from the beginning of the Christian era, but lost as the worship of God gradually became a system of rituals rather than being led by the Holy Spirit.

If we can rejoice in nothing else, we can rejoice that the gospel is freely preached in the United States and that we can worship in Spirit and in Truth as God commands.

(Psa 68:3 NIV)  But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.

For those of you who have not studied biblical prophecy, a simplified outline of the future is provided above. There are hundreds of end times prophecies yet to be fulfilled, and only 21 of them are listed. 1-14 will probably come to pass during many of our lifetimes. 15-21 will not be fulfilled until one thousand years after the return of Jesus Christ. If prophecy interests you. read the entire book "Countdown to 6000" by clicking on the prophecy link above.

A Simple Picture of the Future According to Biblical Prophecy   July 2004

1. The true church, called "Philadelphia,” (Meaning brotherly love) will be reviled by the world, but blessed by the Lord. It may be taxed. Rev. 3:7-12.    Dan 11:20. & future U.S. discrimination law.

2. The false dead church, called "Laodicea" will become the dominant church on the world scene. Rev 3:14-22

3. The seven seals begin. Antichrist, war, famine, and disasters, the mark. (Theme of the book of Revelation)

(Rev 13:8 NIV)  All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

(Notice, the saved are not deceived by Antichrist and do not take his mark. The Lord protects his people, in the world or out of it. If you have received Christ, do not fear the future, your name is in the Lamb’s book of life.)

(John 10:14 NIV)  "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me--
(John 10:27-28 NIV)  My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.

4. The Two Witnesses arrive on the scene and preach for 3 1/2 years. The 7 trumpet judgments begin.

5. After 3 1/2 years the Two Witnesses will be killed. (Probably Enoch and Elijah, who have never died.)

6. 3 1/2 days after their death, they will be raised from the dead and ascend to heaven. Rev 11:3-13

7. The first resurrection, the harvest, also called the rapture might take place shortly after the Two Witnesses go up. Rev 14:9-20 (The harvest of the righteous, the reaping of the wicked into God’s winepress of wrath)

8. The Jews will realize that Jesus is the true Messiah when they miss the first resurrection.  Jeremiah 8:20

9. The marriage supper of the Lamb will begin taking place in heaven.

(Rev 19:7-9 NIV)  Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'" And he added, "These are the true words of God."

10. The church and the old testament saints will celebrate with the Lord in his kingdom and receive rewards.

11. The Jews begin to pray for Jesus him to return and rescue them from the Antichrist. Matt 23:37-39

12. The seven bowls of God's wrath will be poured out on the earth, probably for a period of one year. (The hour of temptation, the church is definitely spared from this)

1 Th 5:9 KJV  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

(Rev 15:1 KJV)  And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

13. Evil demonic powers will gather the armies of the world to Armageddon. Rev 16:13-16

14. The Lord will return with his armies and his saints and destroy the armies of the world at Armageddon. Revelation chapter 19

15. Satan is bound for 1000 years. Rev 20:2-3

16. The millennium begins, 1000 years of peace on Earth under the rule of Jesus Christ.

17. Satan is released for a short time to test those born during the millennium. Rev 20:8-10

18. Satan gathers those who hate Christ to Jerusalem for the final battle, a repeat of Armageddon.

19. Satan and his armies are defeated again. The final rebellion has been put down. Rev 20

20. The 2nd resurrection takes place and the last (Great Whit Throne) judgment occurs. Rev 20:11

21. Eternity begins - God has new projects for us to participate in. His kingdom expands forever.

(Isa 9:7 NCV)  Power and peace will be in his kingdom and will continue to grow forever... He will make it strong by ruling with justice and goodness from now on and forever. The LORD All-Powerful will do this because of his strong love for his people.

This is a simple outline of the future. All of the events listed will occur someday, according to the bible. The order of their occurrence is an educated guess on the authors part. The timing of the rapture or first resurrection is unknown. It can occur anytime from the very beginning of the tribulation to the end. The authors guess is that we go up shortly after the Two Witnesses go up, but your opinion is as good as mine.

Salvation

This site would not be complete without a simple explanation of Salvation.

Very briefly, everyone who ever has or will ever make it into God’s Kingdom will have been saved by faith in the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Many before his first coming never knew is name as Jesus Christ. They only knew and believed by faith that God Would someday send a Redeemer, a Messiah, a Christ, to save them from both spiritual and physical problems. They had Faith in an unknown un-named Jesus Christ.  The promise of a Saviour began in Genesis right after mans fall into sin and salvation by faith in this promise has been available from the time of Adam and Eve onward up until This promised Messiah, Saviour and Redeemer was revealed as Jesus Christ about 2000 years ago.

We no longer have the option of just believing in some un-named coming redeemer for salvation. This option vanishes for every person the moment they hear, read or have the Gospel presented to them in some manner. From that point on they must make a choice. This is so because Jesus said;

(John 10:24-29 NCV)  The Jews gathered around him and said, "How long will you make us wonder about you? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered, "I told you already, but you did not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name show who I am. But you don't believe, because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never die, and no one can steal them out of my hand. My Father gave my sheep to me. He is greater than all, and no person can steal my sheep out of my Father's hand.

Since Jesus returned to Heaven whenever anyone hears the Gospel the Holy Spirit is there to open the minds and hearts of those who are hearing it to the fact that it is the truth. Anyone who rejects the Gospel upon having it presented to it simply show that they are not willing to accept the truth and be saved.

You can be saved right now, in the next few moments by simply praying sincerely to God the Father and to Jesus Christ the simple prayer below.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ; I know I am a sinner. Please come into my life and save me and forgive me all of my sins and make me into the kind of person you want me to be. I’m trusting only in Jesus Christ for my salvation and I ask this prayer in his name. Thank You Lord for Saving me, Amen.

That's all there is to it. Now tell someone about it. Read your Bible. Get Baptized. Discover your Spiritual Gifts and Talents. Find a good church and volunteer to serve in some manner according to your gifts and talents.

You may ask, How do I find a good church. That's easy. Find one where people are being saved or at least an invitation is given for salvation through Jesus Christ in every service and you will be in a good church.

(John 7:14-17 NCV)  When the feast was about half over, Jesus went to the Temple and began to teach. The Jews were amazed and said, "This man has never studied in school. How did he learn so much?" Jesus answered, "The things I teach are not my own, but they come from him who sent me. If people choose to do what God wants, they will know that my teaching comes from God and not from me.

If you begin to serve the Lord and do his will you will understand more and more with certainty the truth of teaching and doctrines of Jesus Christ. If you ever doubt your salvation, refer to the verse below, and remember, God cannot lie, it is true, and will always be true if you meet the qualifications in the verse below.

(Rom 10:9 NKJV)  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

(Titus 1:2 NKJV)  in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,
